Hello! My name is Skyla (she/her), and I am a passionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) with a strong focus on empowering young minds. Originally from New York, I’ve brought my love for mental health advocacy and support to North Carolina, where I am honored to work with children, adolescents, and young adults.
I take a person-centered approach, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where clients feel supported, understood, and valued. While I pull from a range of therapeutic techniques to meet each individual’s needs, my practice is primarily informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
My ultimate goal is to help clients grow into confident, resilient individuals who feel equipped to face life’s challenges. I often refer to the insights and strategies we build together as “tools for their toolbox,” and I take pride in ensuring that every client leaves with skills and knowledge they can carry with them for life.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with friends, exploring the RDU area, discovering new restaurants, and listening to music.
